Employees accrue vacation time upon hire and depending on length of service with Chipotle. See the Education Hub for a breakdown of accrual rates and other important details.

Paid Holidays

We’re happy to extend the following paid holidays to Staff employees.

  • New Year’s Day: January 1, 2026
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 19, 2026
  • Memorial Day: May 25, 2026
  • Independence Day (observed): July 3, 2026
  • Labor Day: September 7, 2026
  • Thanksgiving & Black Friday: November 26 & 27, 2026
  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: December 24 & 25, 2026

Floating Holiday

We live and celebrate in so many unique ways. In addition to paid holidays, Chipotle provides Staff employees with one floating holiday each year. This floating paid day off can be taken at your discretion with manager approval.

Sabbatical

We recognize and celebrate Staff employees who achieve 10 years of uninterrupted service with 8 weeks of paid time off (subject to approval and business needs).

I Need a Leave of Absence

Chipotle provides all employees the opportunity to take approved LOAs to make sure you have the time you need when you need to step away from work for an extended time.
